Responsibilities: I am part of the Airframe subgroup and it is my job to help with the design of the airframe and any jobs related to the sub group. Within the team it is my responsibility to get the insurance necessary to fly the drone and also write up or improve upon any risk assessments needed to safely fly.

Responsibilities: I am a member of the Salvage sub group, responsible for the management of the Beng student and the development of the Salvage system, designed to minimise damage to the drone in case of a system failure. I am responsible for the pilot licensing and am the contact point between the drone club and the team.

Responsibilities: Within the Propulsion Sub-Team, I am managing the design of the UAVs arms where the motors will be mounted. The arms must also have mountings that assemble them to the main airframe body and mountings that hold the motors in place. My other sub-group duties including designing the rigs to test propulsion components such as Motors and Arms. I am the lead marketing member of Team Hawk which requires me to market the Teams activities, also consulting with the schools marketing team, to increase the Public, Student and Academic knowledge of Team Hawk.

Responsibilities: Lead design engineer for the payload sub group for 2018. It is my responsibility to ensure the payload is securely attached to the drone using a system that also includes an efficient release mechanism. I am also responsible for keeping a record of all the team’s finances; making sure all purchase orders are recorded and the team’s budget is always up to date.

Responsibilities: I am a Payload design engineer; it is my duty to make sure that the payload system works as expected and it is securely attached to the airframe. I am also responsible to overseeing the BEng student and helping him/her throughout their project. Moreover, I manage and keep record of the team’s mechanical inventory. Furthermore, I am also responsible for keeping the team’s sponsorship newsletter up to date.

Responsibilities: Sponsorship representative, I liaise with potential sponsors, deal with publishing/distribution of sponsorship literature, facilitate orders and benefits from and on behalf of the sponsors. I am also responsible for the power drive system on the drone, managing and facilitating the electrical/mechanical cross over of component parts. I manage a B/Eng student responsible for the electrical power system. I am also the lead consultant between the electrical and mechanical components.
