Experience: I conducted my dissertation on the design of a UAS landing gear for the 2018 UAS challenge. With a strong mechanical background and experience of product design/development within the medical industry, I strive to utilise my varied skillset to lead a talented group of engineers to produce a professional fixed-wing drone.
Team Ambitions: Successfully design and manufacture the first fixed-wing configuration drone University of Huddersfield will have entered into the IMechE UAS challenge. I also aim to drive both the Harrier HAWK and the Sparrow HAWK teams towards podium positions at the 2019 fly-off event.
Three Interesting Facts: I have previously developed a range of earthing devices which are now utilised in medical locations worldwide, keeping medical staff and patients safe from fault currents.
I have competed at the British Bouldering Championships on several occasions alongside world-class professional athletes.
I drink more coffee than any other member of the team.
